Is there ever such a thing as too much wood?

We had a busy weekend out at the ranch, stockpiling wood. We have cut down many green trees over the winter and will now need to let the wood dry out over the next coming seasons. In the Yukon, there are a good majority of people that have wood stoves, hence making Firewood services a good business. This wood here is spruce and it is heavy. It will need a good year of drying out before the moisture content is low enough to make a nice fire. The wood splitter and sawmill have been going nonstop and we are excited for our next project of making planks and beams for our corral.
